Field Trials Photo Gallery

On the 15th of November 2023, history was made at the English Springer Spaniel Club Open Stake when ESSC Field Trial Secretary Roy Proctor ran his last FT event for the Club.  As our ESSC members know, Roy has decided that he will retire formally from office at the May 2024 Club AGM and this means that he will have then served the club as FT Secretary for some 30 happy and successful years, which has included the organisation and delivery of the extra special FTs in 2021 to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the Club.

To mark Roy’s last FT for the Club, ESSC President Yvonne Billows, Chairman Sue Aston and Committee Member Jan McIntyre were very pleased to be able to attend this momentous event and make a presentation to Roy on behalf of the FT members.  As you can imagine, many appreciative comments were made about Roy’s services to the Club and, the FT Judges of the day’s event, Mr S Bates and Mr P Seaman were on hand to endorse these.  Roy is an Honorary Life Member of the ESSC and as such one of its staunch supporters, so although he will be very much missed, I’m sure that we will see him at our AGMs and will continue our long and much valued friendship.
